She was predeceased by: her parents, Gilbert Duque and Rosie Duque (Martinez) of Estrada; her husband Fred Zavala; her son Paul David; her sister Geraldine Estrada; and her granddaughter Veronica Zavala.
She is survived by: her children, Gloria Villarreal, Zandra Williams (Matthew), Miranda Morales and Fred Zavala Jr. (Thip); her brother John Estrada (Nina); her grandchildren, Jessica Gomez (Nolan) and Mark Villarreal (Melinda); and her great grandchild Jordan. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 19th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Chapel Lux Funeral Home & Cremation Services (1254 I-35BL, New Braunfels, TX 78130). A rosary will be held on Tuesday, May 19th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, May 20th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Holy Family Catholic Church (245 S Hidalgo Ave, New Braunfels, TX 78130). A burial will be held on Wednesday, May 20th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Shelter 1 Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery (1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209).
