He was predeceased by : his parents, Jim Parnell and Carrie Leonard Parnell Lynch; and his siblings, Louise Parnell Keel, Jennie Parnell Rocci, Joyce Parnell Procell, Jimmy Parnell and Henry Parnell.

He is survived by : his son John David Parnell of Granite Falls, Washington; his grandson Kenneth Parnell; and his siblings, Eva Parnell of Orange, Eula Parnell Batson of Bon Wier, Texas and Wilburn Parnell of Pineland. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
