It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Guillermo Vigil of Nixon, Texas, who passed away on October 29, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alejo Vigil and Josefina Aguilar Vigil; his siblings, Narcizo Vigil, Ramona Guerra and Sebastian Guerra; and his son Ricky Ray Vigil.
He is survived by: his children, Tina Vigil Crawford (Dan), Frank Vigil, Patsy Vigil Scherrer (Michael) and Stella Vigil Villarreal (Phil); his grandchildren, Richard Vigil, Nicholas Vigil, Valerie Vigil, Vivian Vigil, Robert Garza Jr., Kevin Vigil, Samantha Vigil, Janeva Vickers (Micah), Alisha Scherrer, Jerica Scherrer, Logan Scherrer, Philip Villarreal, Mathew Villarreal and Haley Villarreal; his great grandchildren, Dodge, Penny, Annie, Link, James, Logan Jr. and Hailey; and his siblings, Vicenta Vigil Trigo, Ben Guerra and Guadalupe Vigil.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Finch Funeral Chapel - Nixon (308 E 3rd St, Nixon, TX 78140). A rosary will be held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St Joseph Catholic Church- Nixon (207 S Washington Ave, Nixon, TX 78140). A burial will be held on Tuesday, November 4th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Nixon Latin American Cemetery (1277 TX-97, Nixon, Texas 78140, United States).
