With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Irene Moreno of Nixon, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 3, 2025 at the age of 86. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Irene Moreno to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Teresa Garcia and Thomas Palacio; her husband Ysabel Moreno (Chavelo); and her son Eugene Moreno. She is survived by: her children, Thomas Reynaldo "Ray" Moreno (Nancy), Thelma Ortmann (Michael) and Roxanne Villasana (Christopher); her daughter-in-law Hazel Marie Moreno; her grandchildren, Neil Moreno (Kelly), Jeffrey Moreno (Natasha), Tiffany Moreno (Jason), Miranda Galindo (Noel), Victor "Torrey" Moreno, Vanessa DeLeon (Arthur), Bianca Trevino (RJ), Treca Winsmann (Wesley), Cecilia Villasana and Elias Villasana; and her sister Mary Louise Garcia. She is also survived by 15 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Finch Funeral Chapel - Nixon (308 E 3rd St, Nixon, TX 78140). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St Joseph Catholic Church- Nixon (207 S Washington Ave, Nixon, TX 78140). A burial will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery (207 S Washington Ave, Nixon, TX 78140). A rosary will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Finch Funeral Chapel - Nixon (308 E 3rd St, Nixon, TX 78140).
