He was predeceased by : his parents, Gilmer Boatright and Mattie "Dorothy" Boatright (Baker); his siblings, Danny Lee Boatright, Sharon Schelnick and Barbara Billig; and his stepson Benjermen Bomer.

He is survived by : his wife Connie Boatright (Trevino); his children, Brianna Boatright, Raven Boatright, Leonard Wayne Boatright, Jr. (Jessica), Jacob Boatright and Ruben Bomer; his grandchildren, Prudencia Boatright, Jacob Boatright Jr., Kylie Boatright, Josh Boatright, Adin Boatright, Alexis DeLeon and Bryley Hyatt; his stepgranddaughter Emma Bomer; and his sisters, Sandra Henry (Darrell) and Mary Micek (Jeffrey). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
