He was predeceased by: his parents, Julian Garza and Genoveva G. Garza; and his siblings, Estaban and Cruzita. He is survived by: his wife Juanita Garza (Janie); and his children, Mary Alice Mata (Edward), Anitta Garza (Gilbert, Jr.), David Garza (Virginia), Florentino, Jr. Garza (Cynthia) and Danny Garza (Janie). He is also survived by nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
