He is survived by: his daughters, Lorenia Marquez (Armando), Dolores Galindo and Sophia Samaniego; his grandchildren, Lisette Landingin, Theresa Davis (Phillip), Alexis Marquez (Maggie), David Galindo, Zachary Samaniego (Tabitha) and Madison Samaniego; and his great grandchildren, Malia, Abby, Zoey and Miguel.

He was involved in the prison ministry in Odessa and Big Spring before COVID-19.
