She was predeceased by: her parents, Calistro Carrillo and Manuela Carrillo (Luna). She is survived by: her husband Joe Luera; her children, Sandra Adcox, Stephanie Elliot and Ronnie Bustamante; and her caregiver Gene Bustamante. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren; 4 brothers; and 3 sisters.
