He is survived by : his sisters, Janice Lange and Susan Kay; his wife Pam; his daughter Misty Moellendorf (Chans); his grandson Preston of San Saba; his daughter Amanda Hoelscher; his granddaughter Clara of Odessa; his son Jason Paul Elo Hoelscher; his grandchildren, Zarihya and John Paul Elo Hoelscher of Odessa; and his in-laws, Linda, Larry Kujawski, Tommy, Karla Hoelscher, Ann and Harold Hoelscher. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
