He was predeceased by: his parents, Francisco Martinez and Candida Alvarez Martinez; and his sister Geneva Florez (late Elva Armendariz Martinez). He is survived by: his wife Juanita Mora Martinez; his sister Juanita Martinez Carrasco of Arizona; his children, Rene Martinez (Becca) of Laveen Arizona and Elsa Martinez of Tulsa; and his stepchildren, Geno Aguilar (Anabel), Tony Aguilar, Patricia Harris (Ken) and Criselda Lara (Michael). He is also survived by 22 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, nephews, and nieces.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Martinez Funeral Home & Crematory (1040 S Dixie Blvd, Odessa, TX 79761). A rosary will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the St Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church (7601 N Grandview Ave, Odessa, TX 79765). A burial will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 3:45 PM to 4:45 PM at the Sunset Memorial Gardens (6713 East Business 20, Odessa, TX 79762).
