He was predeceased by : his parents, Travis Kemp and Violet Kemp; and his uncle Billy. He is survived by : his daughter Cathy; his wife Norma Steele; his children, Andrea, Shawn, Cherry and Debbie; and his grandchildren, Crystal, Taharra, Stephanie, Danielle and Ashley. He is also survived by spouses and children and many great grandchildren & great great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Sunset Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home (6801 I-20BL, Odessa, TX 79762). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 25th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
