He was predeceased by : his parents, Saturnino Garza and Guadalupe Garza (Ruiz); his wife Maria Garza; and his son Eddie Garza. He is survived by : his children, Juan Garza (Elizabeth) of Olton, Reyes Garza, Jr. (Brenda) of Plainview, Richie Garza (Mashawn) of Wildorado and Alicia Sanchez (Joe) of Olton; and his brother Ramon Garza of Edinburg, Texas..

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 7th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Ramage Funeral Directors (715 9th St, Olton, TX 79064). A rosary was held on Sunday, April 7th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the St. Peter's Catholic Church (205 11th St, Olton, TX 79064). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 8th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Runningwater Draw Care Center PO Box 409 Olton, Texas 79064.
