We are sad to announce that on December 26, 2020, at the age of 85, Darlene Joy Tennison Read of Orange, Texas, born in Ada, Oklahoma passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Lilburn Burrows and Beulah Burrows (Young); her husband Bill Tennison; her former husband John Read; and her brothers, Dr. Gene Burrows and Royce Burrows.

She is survived by: her children, John Tennison (Gaye) of North Carolina, Becky Sparks (Cecil "Sparky") of Orange, Jerry Tennison (Melissa) of Spring, Michelle Klenck (Dan) of Alexandria, Virginia and Jim Tennison of Bedford; and her grandchildren, John David, Mark Andrew, Paul Joseph Tennison, Kristen, Brandon, Casey Sparks (Alex Holland), Mitchell, Cassie, Abby, Will, Micah Tennison, Lila Klenck, Sevyn and Izzy Tennison. She is also survived by her sons, sons-in-law, and grandsons.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Gideons International at 914 Bowlin Ave, Port Neches, Texas, 77651.
