It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Janice Marie Simmons of Orange, Texas, born in Port Arthur, Texas, who passed away on April 20, 2024, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Jennie Lucille McAdams Jernigan and J. W. Jernigan; her husband Richard A. Simmons; her grandchild Raeleen Simmons; and her siblings, Steve Jernigan and Kathy Oxley.

She is survived by : her children, Scott Simmons (Colleen) of Orange, Michelle Delaney (Shane) of Orange and Richard "Ricky" Simmons of West Virginia; her grandchildren, Zachary Thibodeaux (Brianna), Jaycie Wilson and Waylon Simmons; and her great grandchild Saylor Thibodeaux. She is also survived by other loving family members and friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Claybar Funeral Home (504 5th St, Orange, TX 77630, USA). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
