It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Howard James Jr. of Paducah, Texas, born in Shepherd, Texas, who passed away on January 24, 2024, at the age of 59, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, George Lynn Barton Jr. and Helen McBee Barton; his sister Jacquie Lynn Holder; his nephew Tyler Aaron Barton; and his father-in-law James A Long.

He is survived by : his wife Jeni; his daughter Kristin Nicole James (Jayson) of Elgin, TX; his grandsons, Jace, Jaden, JoeDan and Jayden; his daughter Jesse James (Josh); his grandsons, Vinnie and Harley; his daughter Maci James of Aubrey, TX; his grandson Karter; and his sisters, Martha Coffer Peoples (Jim) of Lubbock, TX, Margaret Smith of Fort Worth, TX and Cyndi Campbell (Joey).
