He is survived by : his children, Magnolia Welker, Samuel Martinez, Peter Martinez, Sarah Martinez, Joshua Martinez, Jordan Martinez and Matthew Martinez; his mother Viola; his brothers, Robert Martinez and Jose Martinez; and his grandchildren, Noah, Lillian, Eva Rose, Talan, Blake, River and Brooklyn.

As a result of Covid-19, his family will be holding a celebration of life in the fall of 2020.
