She was predeceased by : her parents, Alfonso Garcia and Trinidad Llanes Perez; her husband Reynaldo Zavala Sr.; and her siblings, Clarence Hernandez, Theodore Hernandez, Mary Lou Hernandez, Mary Pena, Sandy Perez and Beatrice Sanchez.
She is survived by : her children, Eugene Stephens Sr. of Palacios, Mona Ortiz (Jose) of Palacios, Edward Serna Jr. (Toni) of Palacios, Sandra Rios (Oziel Sr.) of Palacios, Benigno "Benny" Zavala Sr. (Maria) of Bryan and Amanda Zavala (Daniel) of Palacios; and her siblings, Penny McCleskey of New Caney, Virginia "Mona" Garcia of Palacios, Janie Samora of Palacios and Henry Perez, Jr. of Houston. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
