He is survived by: his brother Johnnie Brookshire of Illinois; his nieces, Melissa Newton (Curtis) of Pampa and Rebecca Hopson (Edward) of Pampa; his aunts, Linda Brookshire of Oklahoma and Ronda Brookshire-Spencer of Oklahoma; his brother-in-law Danny Gilbert of Lefors; and his close friends, Will and Heather Mills.
His generosity would continue even after his passing as he allowed himself to be shared by Life Gift, an organization that helps give others hope with organ and tissue donation.
