We bid farewell to Billy Allen Welkener of Pawnee, Texas, born in Beeville, Texas, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 17, 2024 at the age of 85. Billy Allen touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by : his parents, William Welkener and Sally Welkener of Pawnee. He is survived by : his son Bradley (Heaven); his wife Marie; his daughter-in-law Michaela Doty; his sister Saundra (Elton Lieke); his grandsons, Chance Doty, Patrick Doty, James Doty, Colton Doty, Matthew Doty and Cody Abbey; and also, Ashley Abbey, John Chance Doty, Patrick Doty, James Doty, Colton Doty, Matt Doty, Hadley Doty, Brody, Baylee, Greyson Abbey, Kacie, Shelby Doty, Amelia Doty, Cayson and Cayleigh Doty. He is also survived by children and grandchildren.

A funeral service was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Eckols Funeral Home Chapel (420 W Live Oak St, Kenedy, TX 78119).

Memorials may be made to the Pawnee United Methodist Church Building Fund.
