She was predeceased by : her parents, Manuel Chavera and Philipa Gonzales Chavera; her siblings, Marcos Chavera, Rodrigo Chavera, Arnulfo Chavera, Yolanda Gutierrez and Irene Flores; and her sister-in-law Elva Chavera.

She is survived by : her niece Norma Gutierrez; her husband Benito Gutierrez; her daughter Mary Ann Gutierrez; her sisters, Consuelo Rodriguez, Gloria Gallardo and Herminia Chavera; and her grandchildren, David Reyes III and Naveiah Lee Reyes.
