He was predeceased by: his parents, Ransom Allen Richards and Marjorie Nell Singletary Richards; and his brother Gary Neil Richards. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Richards of Groveton, TX; his children, Gregory A. Richards (Kimberly Richards) of Kerrville, TX, Gina Diane Hollis (Ron Hollis) of Austin, TX, Tia McLaughlin (Grant McLaughlin) of Lovelady, TX and Ty Wenglar (Cathy) of Austin, TX; and his grandchildren, Macy, Alex, Emily, Mikinna, Micheala, Jonah, Brook Elizabeth, Jaxson, John Paul, Zohe Marie, Vivian, Reagan and Laim. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
The family understands that friends may not want to attend the celebration of life due to concerns over the spread of Covid.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites friends to purchase a commemorative paver for the Groveton downtown sidewalk.
