He was predeceased by : his father Gerald David Atkins, Sr.; his sister Debra Lynn Hollingshead; and his nephew Christopher Thorpe Hollingshead. He is survived by : his mother Evelyn Nora Lange; his children, Kara Noelle Atkins and Jacob Ryan Atkins; and his sister Gloria Bashara (Mike). He is also survived by his nieces and their children.
