He was predeceased by: his parents, Aurelio Anaya and Maria J. Anaya; his daughter Diana Anaya Cruz; and his siblings, Margarita Anaya Chapa, Elodia Anaya Garcia, Gabriel Anaya, Rachel Anaya and Irma J. Anaya.
He is survived by: his siblings, Abel Anaya (Paula) and Maria M. Palacios (Maggie); and his children, Mary Ann Singleterry (Guillermo), Herbert Anaya (Norma), Rose Szeremet (Dan), David Anaya (Hopie), Rolando Anaya (Margot), Marco Anaya (Lisa), Maria M. Anaya, Jaime Villanueva (Samantha) and Guadalupe Alvarado (Minerva). He is also survived by 26 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
