He was predeceased by: his parents, Major Billy M. Seargeant and Eleanor DeBold Seargeant Birkner; and his stepfather Col. John F. Birkner. He is survived by: his wife Hilde M. Seargeant; his sons, George J. D. Seargeant Jr. (Ghada) and Matthew L. Seargeant (Matt); his grandchildren, George J. D. Seargeant III, Matthias G. Seargeant, Amirah Seargeant and Opal M. Seargeant; and his siblings, Billy M. Seargeant (Dianne), J. Douglas Birkner and Louanne E. Birkner. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
