He is survived by : his mothers, Era "Junior" Blount, Jr. and Sue Benefield Blount; his son Kevin Blount; his siblings, Patricia Steele (Michael) and Mike Blount (Tammie); and his nieces, Tabitha Ballard (Shane) and Trisha Tindel (Kevin).

Visitation was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Crossroads Cemetery (435 Co Rd 1266, Pittsburg, TX 75686). A graveside service was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
