Folahan Babafemi Soremekun Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Folahan Babafemi Soremekun (Plano, Texas), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 9, 2025 at the age of 90. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Folahan Babafemi Soremekun to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, David Otolorin Soremekun and Felicia Olufunke Sonubi; and his brother Olusegun Oladele Soremekun. He is survived by: his wife Dr. Elizabeth Ann Soremekun (Olutumbi); his children, Manita (Pastor James Fadel) of Fairview, Morenike (Emmanuel Ogebe) of Springfield, Virginia, Kristina and Jonathan DePinet of Flagstaff, Arizona; his grandchildren, Tolani Fadel, Dara Fadel, Jonathan Ogebe, Gracina Ogebe and Simi Fadel; and his siblings, Opeoluwa Ibironke Oshodi, Lady Olabisi Bolawa Uaboi, Olubukunola Afolabi, Emmanuel Oyinlola Soremekun and Babatunde Taiwo Soremekun. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 29th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the RCCG New Life Church (14465 Webb Chapel Rd, Farmers Branch, TX 75234). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Allen Family Funeral (2112 W Spring Creek Pkwy, Plano, TX 75023).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Highlands Education International (HEI), supporting educational opportunities for students in Africa, an organization co-founded by Drs.
