She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Holt and Doris Holt (Crownover); and her daughter Laurie E. Holmes (Boogie). She is survived by: her husband Ernie Holmes; and her children, Ernest S. Holmes IV (Sam), David R. Holmes, Steve L. Holmes, Julie H. Holmes (Stone) and Carrie S. Holmes (Benham). She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Rhoton Funeral Home (1511 S Interstate 35E, Carrollton, TX 75006).
