She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Berry, Sr. and Ruby Johnson Berry; her children, Emanuel Moten, Harold Moten, Michael Moten, Connie Simien-James and Stacey Richardson; her stepdaughter Brenda McNeal; her siblings, Ruben Berry, Alfred Berry, Jr., Gloria Foster, Diane Furtak and Agnes James; her son-in-law James Simien; her great grandchild Evan Lacey; and her daughter-in-law Sarah Moten.
She is survived by: her husband Richard Moten, Sr.; her sons, Kenneth Moten, Jeffery Moten (Demetra) and Randy Moten (Joyce); her stepson Richard Moten, Jr. (Regina); her brothers, Anderson Berry, Earl Berry and Raymond Berry; her brothers-in-law, Ollie James and John Furtak; and her children-in-law, Bennie Richardson, Terence James and JoAnn Moten.
A wake will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Gabriel Funeral Home Chapel (2500 Procter St, Port Arthur, TX 77640). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
