With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mildred Guidry Thomas of Beaumont, Texas, born in Maurice, Louisiana, who passed away on April 24, 2024 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her husband Rev. Chester Thomas, Sr.; her parents, Joseph Guidry and Agnes Guidry; her siblings, Warren, John, Thomas Guidry, Beulah Morris, Beatrice Andris, Laura Horton and Zara Broussard; her uncle John Gradney Malveaux; and her children, Eric Christopher Jackson, Anthony Paul Jackson, Sr. and Tina Michelle Nelson.

She is survived by : her sister Bessie Daniels; her daughters, Lisa Jackson and Wendy Wilson; her grandchildren, Dorian Jackson (Taren), Sierra Provost (Christopher), Anthony Jackson, Jr. (Dana), Brittany Jackson, John Wilson, Jr., Cla'Lynn Gasper, D'Aisa Gasper, Merquisha Fontenette and Joseph Johnson III; and her son-in-law Joseph Nelson, Jr.. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the First Christian Faith Baptist Church (1003 Dallas Ave, Port Arthur, TX 77640). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
