It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Charles Bernard Schmidt Jr. of Port Isabel, Texas, born in Cincinnati, Ohio, who passed away on February 20, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Charles B. Schmidt, Sr. and Mary Gunning Schmidt; his stepmother Alma Ries Schmidt (Beth Cryar Schmidt); his wife Marcia Thurman; his daughter Sarah Ann Schmidt; and his grandson Brian Owens.

He is survived by : his daughters, Susan Schmidt Greenwade (Ron) and Mary Charlotte Owens (Steve); his grandsons, Chad Gomez, Kevin Owens (Kelly), Keelan Greenwade and Alan Greenwade (Duna); and his great grandchild Lyndron White.
