It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Diana Gonzalez Castillo-Chastain of Port Isabel, Texas, born in San Benito, Texas, who passed away on October 8, 2023, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her former life partner Ruben Castillo Sr.; her parents, Gualberto Gonzalez and Victoria Gonzalez; her daughter Tabatha Ann Melchor; her brother Gualberto Gonzalez Jr.; and her stepson Craig Ryan Chastain.
She is survived by : her husband Ernest Lee Chastain; her children, Kiana Franks (Dennis), Ruben Castillo (Priscilla), Joseph A. Castillo (Tillery Martin), Victoria D. Castillo and Eric J. Chastain; her grandchildren, Raul Melchor Jr., Andrea Calderon, Keanu Evans, Gilbert Garza, Harper G. Castillo, Bella G. Franks, Madden Castillo and Beckett Castillo; her great grandchildren, Emmie Calderon and Liana Calderon; and her sister Jeannie Torrez. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
