With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ninfa G. Holland of Port Isabel, Texas, born in Brownsville, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 3, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Gonzalo B. Holland; her parents, Francisca Garza and Jesus Garza; and her siblings, Angelica Martinez, Oralia Romero, Lydia Seaman, Ruben Padron and Cristelo Padron.
She is survived by: her children, Hilda Holland, Frances Jewell (Dennis), Michael Holland (Suzanna), Gonzalo Holland Jr. and Patricia Horton (Paul); her grandchildren, Elizabeth Callaway, Nazario Mendoza Jr., Christopher Mendoza, Rebecca Wuenscher (Timothy), Matthew Jewell, Miriam Jewell, Anthony Holland, Daniel Holland, Andrew Holland, Stephen Horton, Jacob Horton and Timothy Horton; and her great grandchildren, Luke, Noah Callaway, Nickalas, Andrea, Jonathan Mendoza, Isabella Horton, Ellie Grace, Emery and Everleigh Holland.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Thomae-Garza Funeral Home (395 S Sam Houston Blvd, San Benito, TX 78586). A rosary will be held on Monday, October 6th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church (705 S Longoria St, Port Isabel, TX 78578). A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Port Isabel City Cemetery (299 N Musina St, Port Isabel, TX 78578).
