He was predeceased by: his parents, Justo Chavana and Elvira Chavana; his siblings, Aurora Rodriguez, Audelia Longoria, Adelfa Longoria, Adolfo Chavana and Justo Chavana; his son Justo Raul Chavana; his grandson Sean Murray; and his great grandchild Annabelle Christine Villarreal.

He is survived by: his wife Bertha Chavana; his children, Larry Chavana (Jessica) of Laredo, Dennis Chavana (Teresa) of Angleton, Bertha E. Chavana, Alonzo Chavana (Karen) of Noodle, Laura Estella McCallum (Raul) of Edinburg and Danny Chavana (Melissa) of San Antonio; his brother Amadeo Chavana; and his daughter-in-law Laura Chavana. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
