He was predeceased by: his parents, James Hardy Estes and Clemmie Green Estes; his wife Opal Lucille McBride Estes; and his siblings, Alice Chappell Cessna, Lillie Estes, Katie Estes, Clemmie Irene Robertson, Fred Estes, Jim Estes and Charles Estes.
He is survived by: his son Daniel Edward Estes, Jr. (Mary Sue); his grandchildren, Daniel Estes III, Michael Estes, Tammy Corkern (Jeffrey) and Toni Elliott (Doug); his great grandchildren, Danielle Quinney, Dakota Estes (Kayla), Cameron Corkern and Ethan Elliott; and his great great grandchildren, Stella Storts, Oliver Quinney, Tyler Quinney, Kylee Quinney and Stetson Estes.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 15th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Richardson-Colonial Funeral Home (123 Newlin St, Port Lavaca, TX 77979). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Richardson Colonial Funeral Home (123 Newlin St, Port Lavaca, TX 77979). A burial will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Stockdale Cemetery.
