We are sad to announce that on April 19, 2025, at the age of 86, Vernon Gene Ruddick of Port Lavaca, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Ruddick and Maude Ruddick; his brothers, Kenneth Ruddick and James Barlow Ruddick; and his nephews, David Ruddick, Gregory Ruddick and Grover Cleveland Boyd, III.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Ruddick; his sister Juanita Boyd; and his children, Chris Ruddick (Sherry) of Port Lavaca, Fred Dozier (Patty) of Wonder Lake, Illinois, Tamara Dozier Withers (Randy) of Joplin, Missouri., Billy Platt of Hitchcock and JaneAnn Volek of Victoria, Texas. He is also survived by six grandchildren, two great grandkids, and numerous nieces and nephews.
