He is survived by: his wife Norma Idalia Ortiz; his daughter Amy Vanessa Ortiz (Alec); his mother Belia Trevino Ortiz; and his siblings, Daniel T. Ortiz (Patricia), Diana Ortiz Vela and Carolina Ortiz Zamora (Jose). He is also survived by 4 nephews and 6 nieces.
