She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgina Marie Carrell (Clous) and Joe Carrell; her husband Willliam Smyers; and her sister Esther Malone. She is survived by: her children, John (Lorri Brodie), Samantha (Tom Cooley) and Linda (Shane Arnold); her grandchildren, Kristy, Mica, Jake, Felicia, Alex, Johnathon, Allie, Savannah, James, Kyleigh, Jack and Cassidy; her great grandchildren, Shainah, Kanyon of Cleo, JD, Juniper and Rosie; and her siblings, JoAnn Stewart (Paul), Donna Vaughan, Angie Templeton, Ronald Carrell (Shirley) and Larry Carrell (Karen). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home (409 N Kaufman St, Mt Vernon, TX 75457). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at the Fairview Cemetery.
