With solemn reverence, we commemorate Carolyn Sue Golden of Quanah, Texas, whose life came to an end on October 11, 2025 at the age of 82, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bill Riley Wheat and Thelma Lee Rutledge Wheat; and her husband Charles L. Golden, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Glynn Golden of Quanah, Joe Golden of Murfreesboro, Tennessee and Eden Golden (Jason Mobley) of Quanah; her grandchildren, Brycin Golden, Brandyn Golden, Samantha Hodgkins (Craig), Brooklin Bridges (Kaylor) and Gage Benham; and her great grandchildren, Elias Golden, Riverlyn Hodgkins, Jaxon Hodgkins and Greyson Hodgkins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Smith Funeral Home (210 W 3rd St, Quanah, TX 79252). A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Quanah Memorial Park.
The family suggests memorials be made to the First Methodist Church, P.O. Box 397, Quanah, Texas 79252, or to the Alzheimer's Association, at Help fight Alzheimer's.
