She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Ray Wheat and Mattie Isaacks Wheat. She is survived by: her husband James Arlis Whitmire; her children, Debbie Denham of Quanah, Alan Whitmire (Teresa) of Quanah and Dean Whitmire of Wichita Falls; her grandchildren, Adam Whitmire, Nicole Bergstrom, Eric Denham, Kelly Whitmire, Carly Whitmire and Micah Leann Cates; her great grandchildren, Austin, Lukas, Parker Rose, Clayton, Ethan, Maddie, Owen, Casey, Mackenzie, Cooper and Noah; her children-in-law, Dennis Denham and Ann Marie Whitmire; her grandson Bryan Denham; her siblings, Billy Wheat and Louise Stuart; and her great grandchild Logan Denham.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Smith Funeral Home (210 W 3rd St, Quanah, TX 79252). A celebration of life was held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Quanah Memorial Park.
The family suggests memorials be made to Beyond Faith Hospice, whose care and compassion meant so much during her final days.
