She was predeceased by : her husband George Clintus Bates; her parents, James Earl Menchue and Leona Willis (Barnett); her sons, Ronald Wayne Blake and Gary Dean Blake; and her siblings, Donald Wayne Menchue and Marie Harding (Menchue).

She is survived by : her children, David Leon Blake of Bastrop, LA, Timothy Scott Blake (Misty Blake) of Linden, TX, Lisa Darlene Blake of Queen City, TX and Karen Denise Main (Michael Shawn) of Whitehall, AR; and her close friend Mirline Gill of Texarkana, AR. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
