We are sad to announce that on May 16, 2025, Hortensia Valdez Ruiz of Rancho Viejo, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Pedro Valdez and Hortensia Barrios Valdez; her aunts, J. B. Garza, Maria Del Refugio Barrios and Amalia Barrios; and her siblings, Fred G. Thompson, Pete Valdez, Veronica Garza, Rachel Manautou and Norma Tims.
She is survived by: her children, Peter F. Ruiz and Ninfa V. Garcia; her sister Celina Martinez; her granddaughter Angeles Garcia Cassin (Shaun); Peter F. Ruiz, Ninfa Garcia, Pablo Ruiz, Mauro F. Ruiz and Max Ruiz. She is also survived by her great grandchildren.
