He was predeceased by: his former wife Myrtle Mae "Murt" Fowler Lassiter; his parents, Vernon Cleo "Jeff" Lassiter and Eve Lena Munn Lassiter; and his siblings, Frank Lassiter, Louise Lassiter, Molly Dell Lassiter and Vernon Lee "Sonny" Lassiter.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Kennedy Lassiter; his children, David Wayne Lassiter, Floyd Anthony "Tony" (Doris Lassiter) and Deborah Kay Lassiter Hicks; his grandchildren, Valerie (James Proulx), Robin (Kris Kunkleman), Jordan (Casey Flowers), Amanda (Cody Demalade), Christopher Lassiter (Garrett Wagner), Chance (Courtney Lassiter), Dakota (Katie Hicks), McKenna Hicks and Koby Hicks; and his brother Alton Ray (Glenda Lassiter). He is also survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
It was a difficult thing watching the toll that Parkinson's played on his body but he always remained positive and upbeat till the very end.
