She was predeceased by : her parents, Wilma Hardy Cates and Jack Cates. She is survived by : her daughter Naomi (Robert Ramirez); her husband Willie Mack Powell; and her siblings, Michael (Sharon Cates), Ronnie (Dawn Cates), Kim (Randy Smith) and Cynthia (Alfred Schoelen). She is also survived by nieces, and nephews.
