He was predeceased by: his parents, Maurice James and Anne B. James of Bowie, Texas.. He is survived by: his wife Cindy Edwards James; his son Anthony Neal James; and his sister Linda Wynn of Bowie. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Disabled American Veterans, the Wounded Warriors or the Texas Peace Officers Association.
