He was predeceased by: his father Lupe Sotello Sr.; his siblings, Joann Sotello Allen, Mary Jane Sotello, Juan "Johnnie" M. Sotello Sr. and Benny Sotello; his mother Anita Hernandez Sotello; and his brothers, Domingo "Ricky" Sotello and Roland Sotello.
He is survived by: his sons, Juan "John" Sotello Jr. (Natalie) and Valentine "Val" Cruz (Becky); his grandchildren, John Sotello III, Sean Sotello, Angel Sotello, Valentine, Cruz, Michael Cruz and Monica Cruz; his great grandchildren, Natalie Rodriguez, Richard Rodriguez and John Rodriguez Jr.; his stepgrandchildren, Savannah O., Lyric C., Nahla C., Mariah I. (Ruben) and Isaiah O (Emily); his stepgreat-grandsons, Aziel O. and Zayden O.; and his siblings, Betty Flores (Rudy) and Thomas Sotello.
