With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Maricela Jacquez of Richmond, Texas, born in Harlingen, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 20, 2024 at the age of 66. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Victor Ortiz and Nicolasa Delgado; her daughter Veronica Covarrubias; her sisters, Mary Jacquez and Rosalinda Marroquin; and her niece Christina Jacquez.

She is survived by : her husband Antonio Jacquez; her daughters, Yvette Ortega Melgar and Erika Perez (Charlie); her grandchildren, George Hernandez (Lizette), Javier Alvaro Agudelo, Viviana Agudelo, Caezar Melgar and Alyssa Hays (Kai); and her great grandchildren, Charlotte Hernandez and Noah Hernandez.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 28th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Brookside Funeral Home (13747 Eastex Fwy, Houston, TX 77039). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
