He was predeceased by : his parents, Odis Houston and Dora Houston; his former life partner Hazel Hogue Houston; and his siblings, Boyd Houston and Hazel McGuffey.

He is survived by : his wife Carol Houston; his daughters, Cathy Houston Allen (Larry) of Plano, TX and Sherry Littlejohn (Mark) of Rockwall, TX; his granddaughters, Amy Allen-Spillers (David) of McKinney, TX, Christy Beasley (John) of Northville, MI, Casey Birkins (Andrew) of Prosper, TX and Jamey Marett (Chad) of Fate, TX; his great grandchildren, Andy Beasley, Dylan Beasley, Austin Birkins, Cal Birkins and Houston Marett; and his sisters, Lavella Smith of Dallas, TX and Nancy Stateler of Dallas, TX. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
