She was predeceased by: her parents, James Harry Newman and Emma Beck Newman of Seattle, Washington.; her daughter Denise Davis; and her husband Berry Sandlin. She is survived by: her children, Ellen Fletcher (late Michael), Erik "Don" Sandlin (Yvone) and Elaine Sandlin (Benny Dunbar, Jr.). She is also survived by three children, seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren.
