He was predeceased by: his parents, Emory Ester and Lena Erwin Heard; his siblings, Henry Duane Heard, Jimmie Heard Stephens, Edna Heard Wolfe and Alene Heard Martin; and his parents-in-law, Vernon and Irene Griffin.
He is survived by: his wife Faye Griffin Heard; his children, Robert Heard (Bob), David Heard (Kathy) and Kathryn Rutherford (Randy); his grandchildren, Rachel Heard Didier (Kurt), Mary Jane Heard Anderson (Jesse), Tyler Lee Heard, William Joseph Rutherford (Will), Paige Allison Rutherford, Brianna Thomas and Hayden Thomas; his great grandchildren, Margot Marie Didier, Griffin Andrew Didier, Gavin Wells Didier, Jameson David Heard and Anderson; his siblings, Joyce Heard Webb and Don; and his sister-in-law Mary Griffin Burt. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
