It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lavern Taylor-Allen (Royse City, Texas), born in Gloster, Mississippi, who passed away on July 26, 2023, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her father Louis Taylor, Sr.; her grandparents, Nephus Stepter and Eliza Matthews Stepter Bonds; her mother Eula Mae Taylor (Stepter); her siblings, Mary Jean Taylor, Morrill Taylor, Will R. Taylor and Dexter S. Taylor; her uncle Rufus; her aunt Lela S. Addison; and her cousin Althea Addison.
She is survived by : her husband David Allen of Centreville, MS; her children, Kelvin L. Roberts of Houston, TX, Landria N. Jordan (Rayshawn) of Rockwall, TX and Lanis Roberts III of Houston, TX; her stepchildren, David Allen (Shawn) of Jackson, MS, Keon Allen of Centreville, MS and Ronda Allen of Centreville, MS; her siblings, Louis Taylor Jr. (Doretha) of Westwego, LA, Barbara Jean Taylor Dickens (Percy) of Gloster, MS, Chevis R. Taylor Sr. (Charice) of Houston, TX, Elizabeth Taylor of Houston, TX and Grace Taylor Westray (Calvin) of Houston, TX; her grandchildren, Kailin N. Roberts, Tommy J. Roberts, Kayla Roberts, Kabrea Roberts, Keyshawn D. Roberts, D'Angelo Roberts (DJ) and Kaiden R. Jordan; her great grandchild Austin R. Carter; her sister-in-law Tracy Howard; and her extended family Brander Smith (Gwen). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, close family and friends.
